Once a year, AIGA’s Y-Conference brings together forward-thinkers from across various design disciplines to inspire and motivate each other. With the University of San Diego as a backdrop and thought leaders from all over conducting intimate “thinkshops,” the Y-Conference combines world-class workshops and keynotes with an innovative and stimulating atmosphere.
San Diego Sport Innovators (SDSI) asked Charles Curbbun, DD Studio Chief, to speak at their inaugural Chalk Talk event on branding essentials. The event took place at Transworld’s skatepark in their Carlsbad, CA headquarters–a fun setting for this unique affair! The evening began with a short intro to the presenters, and then the group was broken out into smaller groups to enjoy each presenter in a more intimate setting. Charles spoke on visual brand language (VBL) and communicating your unique identity to the consumer.
Our work with the West Wireless Health Institute (WWHI) is bringing care for high-risk pregnancies into the wireless arena. WWHI and the Carlos Slim Health Institute have embarked on a groundbreaking research study on WWHI’s Sense4Baby(tm). We provided industrial design and prototyping for their first wireless fetal monitoring device.
