The Why
Telesis needed it all: Speed to market, savings on BOM costs, and growth of market share with a system that performs overnight. We wanted to maximize the perceived value by optimizing the physical & digital aesthetic and the overall usability.
The client envisioned the incorporation of a multi-tray loading system, to reduce visual mass, and improve and integrate UI. We knew we could reuse existing subassemblies to maximize cost reduction.

Telesis Bio Inc is a synthetic biology company focused on enabling researchers to rapidly, accurately, and reproducibly build or write high-quality synthetic DNA and mRNA that is ready to use in many downstream synthetic biology-enabled markets.
The How
With Telesis, DDSTUDIO has built a lasting long-term relationship. Our team works very closely with the client’s mechanical engineering team to rearrange component layouts for optimal workflow. By creating this respectful collaborative relationship we are able to work efficiently, keep costs lower and produced an elegant and balanced form factor
